size = 18 KB As bought July 1994
This is my car shortly after purchase in July 1994. I'd always liked them and took the plunge. The car was reasonable but required work on some areas. It stayed on the road til the MOT expired at the end of 94. As work started I realised the body was worse than thought, (those rose tinted glasses have been thrown out). Where the car sits is where it was dismantled, and stored in the garden shed, loft, cupboards. Many thanks go to my wife, Barbara, who put up with doors under beds, seats in a cupboard and various other inconveniences. The body was repaired by TRIOOMPH Engineering in Radlett Herts, while the chassis was blasted in Southampton (I lived in Hampshire at this time). You can just see the corner of my "Garage" built from wood and plastic tarpaulin in which reassembly was done. I sprayed the undersides and insides myself in the back garden and three pals helped refit the body to the now rolling chassis.

Got in eventually and left the car with them for a fortnight. Once returned there was all the fitting up to do. I was that desperate to drive her again that as soon as the engine was back in off we went round the estate, no lights, windscreen or seats but it was fun. The interior was put back to its original tan and new carpets fitted. Only an MOT to get and we could enjoy the car again properly.

size = 10KB Mar 96, Road Legal Again. Still Lots to do
This is the car after MOT. This photo was taken in 1996, since then I've fitted a new hood, had the wheels blasted and painted, recovered the seats, gone to an extractor manifold with free flow back box. The car has also been converted to overdrive (recommended), the cylinder head is an unleaded conversion. Air filters are now K&N with altered neeedles and springs in the carbs to allow the fuel flow to keep up with the airflow. Wheels are now Minilite style alloys. A modern stereo system was fitted for the second trip to the Le Man 24 hour race, along with some additional gauges. Driving this car never fails to make me smile! The car was first registered in June 1973 and appeared after the government changes to be liable for tax
for ever. As it has a black dash one of the area members sugested in may have been built early enough to qualify. One call to BMIHT revealed a build date of October 1972. We put this down to the fact that no one wanted a Sienna Brown car. We have an area member here with a Nov 73 registered GT6 (M plate) that was also built in Oct 72, his car was also Sienna Brown originally.
