1963 Herald 1200 285 GUG
1969 Vitesse MKII STC 615G, awaiting repair
Spitfire MKIII (project)
1970 Vitesse MKII Covertible, in pieces.
The two photographs shown here are myself and my wife with two of our cars. One taken in 1972, the other taken in 1992. Can you tell which is which?
The Spitfire has been resurrected from being dumped in a quarry for years. It is
nearly complete in gunmetal with a white roof. It also comes with an
Ashley fibreglass fastback roof and factory hardtop also. This car must be sold when completed (OIRO £2000)
to make space for an Ashley 2+2 fibre glass special on a herald chassis. This is a very rare body dating from the
1950s and was meant for a sidevalve Ford.
I also own a Vitesse MKII convertible bought in pieces (some missing) which is waiting patiently for it's turn.
I've owned the Vitesse MKII (STC 515G) since 1972, this one has been waiting 5 years for its turn.
The Herald is my wife's car since before marriage. She's the third owner, bought the car in 1969 for £225 with 43,000 on the clock.
Dumped for 14 years before being resurrected for around £200 using second hand spares in 1991,
featured in the courier August to Oct 1992.
In my view, nothing Triumph is irrepairable, but I'm a resurrectionist not a restorer.
